HOME IS WHERE THE HEART HURTS (18+)
Friday 20th & Saturday 21st March 2026
Hyde Festival Theatre - Madge Bayes Hall*
*Please note: This performance is held upstairs and is not wheelchair accessible
Home Is Where the Heart Hurts is a new moving, honest play that explores love, friendship, loyalty, and the complicated idea of “home.” Through the lives of Ben, Alice, Jay, John and those around them, the story shines a light on the bonds that hold us together — and the wounds that can quietly shape us.
The play thoughtfully explores real-life issues including domestic violence, alcoholism, prescription drug misuse, and emotionally abusive relationships, offering a raw but compassionate look at how these experiences affect individuals and families. It’s deeply human, sometimes uncomfortable, but ultimately rooted in empathy and understanding.
A gentle note for our audience: Some of the themes and moments may feel close to home. While the story is told with care, honesty, and sensitivity, it may be emotionally challenging for some viewers. Contains strong language and adult themes.
If you’re looking for theatre that is brave, heartfelt, and unapologetically real, we would love you to join us.

Hyde Festival Theatre
You’ve seen the family version… now it’s time to RUIN IT!
Following on from last year’s Rumpelstiltskin, we’re back with a filthy twist in Rumpel4skin – the panto that’s bursting with bad behaviour, bawdy jokes, and more sass than you can shake a magic wand at.
Expect foul language, mild nudity, and enough sexual innuendo to make your nan blush (in her end, tho!). This is panto as you’ve never seen it before – chaotic, camp, and completely unhinged.
Strictly for ages 18+ – absolutely no prudes, bigots or homophobes allowed. If you’re easily offended, this is not the show for you.
Grab your mates, grab a drink, and get ready for a night of pure, unfiltered panto mayhem!
